Quickpaw shrugged. "I don't really care. It's up to you!" She meowed, pawing at a leaf in front of her playfully.

"Well...I guess I'll go look for my mentor...you know, wouldn't want to miss out on training or anything," Sleetpaw suggested, then as he turned to go, he added, "See you later," and dashed off.
OOC:// I can't believe it but I forget who his mento0r is! Stupid me! x(

Quickpaw watched him go and sighed. She should probably go see her mentor, too. "All alone again..." She murmured out loud. "At least Sleetpaw and I are friends. And we have a..." She paused. "We have sort of date set up!" She shrugged. "Not exactly a date... Play-date; that's it!" She called cheerfully. She got up and slowly started walking back towards camp.
OOC: It's okay if you forget. I forgot who was Quickpaw's mentor when we started this. (: We can skip to another time when they meet, or to that hunting trip if you want. We could also end it, but I don't think they're romantically close enoguh. -nods-

OOC: Mm'kay. (:
IC: Quickpaw prodded Sleetpaw's side. "Sleetpaw!" She whispered. "Are you awake?" It was time for their hunting trip. Quickpaw hadn't gotten much sleep at all because she was so excited.

"Mmmmm....no, I don't wanna eat a toad..." Sleetpaw was fast asleep. But with Quickpaw's gentle pordding, he blinked open his eyes. "Oh hello," he yawned. "What's up?"

Quickpaw snorted. "I was the one who lost, I would've been the one to have to eat a frog," she teased, flicking his nose with her tail. "It's time for our hunting trip today!" She squealed happily, barreling into his side, making them roll around in the den. "So let's go, you slept forever!" She meowed happily.

Sleetpaw shot up. "Hunting? I totally fogot! Let's go!" As tired as he was, he couldn't help feeling a sudden burst of energy at the prospect of going hunting, and, to tell the truth, he didn't want to eat a toad, even if it had been in his dreams.

Quickpaw nodded enthusiastically. "Come on, then! We have the whole day at our paws! Well, I have the whole day. My mentor's taking the day off for the both of us. She yelled a lot at me yesterday evening." She laughed weakly. "You probably have to go back earleir, but that's okay," she told him simply.

Sleetpaw noddded slowly. He was concerned about Quickpaw's relationship with her mentor. Her mentor seeemed to mistreat her, and, according to Quickpaw, most cats did the same thing... But he had never noticed. Perhaps the cats weren't as unfriendly as Quickpaw seemed to think. After all, even though cats used to call him "kittypet" because he was distantly related to a kittypet named Daisy, the Clan still accepted him, why should that be any differnent than Quickpaw's situation. Surely aa rogue's kit wouldn't receive insults as bad as a distant kittypet!

Quickpaw head-butted his shoulder. "Stop daydreaming and let's go, Sleetpaw!" She whined, pushing him roughly towards the camp's entrance. "I'm ready to go! Shadowfang might see me leaving and ask where I'm going. I'm not too good at hunting, and she'll want to train me a little more with that no doubt," Quickpaw laughed.

"Ah-ok, Quickpaw," Sleetpaw mewed drowwsily, "I'm coming. Sorry." He had an apologetic look in his sleet-blue eyes. "I'm just...concerned about how your mentor treats you is all. I don't want any cat to treat you with any less than the utmost respect you deserve." Looking down at his paws, he shufffled with embarrasssment, his face growing hot as he felt Quickpaw's soft gaze on him.

Quickpaw tilted er head in confusion. "She doesn't treat me badly. She snaps at me a lot, but we like to argue." Quickpaw winked t him and nudged his side gently. "Cheer up! I can take care of myself. Now get your butt up and let's gohutning! The prey is waiting," she drawled happily.

Sleetpaw let out a good-natired purr as he cuffed her over the ear with his paw. "Come on then," he mewed excitedly, "Let's go!" It felt good, being with Quickpaw. He was normally a very reserved cat, not one to associate with other cats often. Being with Quickpaw made him forget about the fact that he was uncomfortable around even the friendliest cat.

Quickpaw squealed in delight and barreled out of the apprentice's den, flying towards the camp entrance. "Come on! Catch me if you can!" She laughed loudly and sped up her already break-neck pace.

"Oh, I know I can," Sleetpaw answered smugly, quickening his pace to speed after her, his paws churning the earth beneath him. He had always been a swift cat, which wasn't charcteristic to the Clan he belonged to. WaveClan's speciality was more along the lines of swimming, whereas the traits he possessed could be traced to AirClan.
His tail streaming behind him, he darted towards Quickpaw, realizing that she hadn't been given the name "Quick" in vain, though he was just behind her tail. With a sudden burst of energy, he raced ahead a few paces. Now, if only Quickpaw could just stay at the same pace...then he may actuallly make it to wherever they were going first.

Quickpaw glanced sideways at him and smiled coyly before stopping abruptly. "Watch the trees!" She yowled, hoping that her surprising move hadn't made him temporarily unaware. She started laughing and twitched her whiskers happily. "This is where we stop!" She called again.

"Huh? Oh. Right. Trees. I had forgotten. Amazing how you become acutely unaware when you are enjoying yourself, is it not?"
OOC://Footnote: Just trying out different styles of talking with Sleetpaw. Sure, he can talk normal. But I want him to talk in a more unique way, like insanely proper English, like people from the early nineteen-hundreds. I don't think that'll work though. I think I'll just try out a few more ways...
This, is the writing style I think I'll go for, instead of the first one. (I think I'll keep that one there, though, just to remind myself never to make him talk like that again.):
"Trees. Sure," Sleetpaw grinned, rolling his eyes. "I'll remember that next time. I suppose I should try to avoid them, seeing as though you'll squat me if I hit one." With a hint of satisfaction, Sleetpaw realized that he was becoming a lot more confident--friendly, even--toward Quickpaw. Did that mean he would would be able to talk to other cats with such effortlessness? Perhaps...perhaps, that would mean he would have the confidence to make new friends... But, of course, Quickpaw would always be his best friend; the one who had forced him out of his solitary nature, opening his eyes to the world around him, letting him realize that not all cats would claw your ears off if you tried to talk to them.

OOC: 's okay. I do it a lot, too. I was thinking... I know that Sleetpaw isn't a mean cat, but maybe he can tell her how much she's helped him be confident, and then she'll get it into her head that he's just using her. She'll think that he doesn't really care for her and just hangs out with her to get comfortable with talking and being social. I think that'd be a nice twist. (: Of course, in reality, sweet Sleetpaw won't be using her. But then he'll notice her avoidance of him and think of Cherrypaw. You had Sleetpaw think he was being unloyal to Quickpaw with the young she-cat apprentice, so maybe he'd think that Quickpaw found out about their little exchange and hates him now. You can reject or add ideas. I just like plotting. xP IC: Quickpaw snorted. "Without me, you'd be lost in life!" She crowed teasingly. Hopping onto a rock, she strutted prettily. "I can guide you through life." Quickpaw sent him a mocking smirk. "You might even say I'm magical!" She stuck her tongue out and giggled. §hOCKS

OOC:// Good idea! I'm too brain-dead today to think of anything like that. Brilliant! I think we should go for it!
"Don't joke," Sleetpaw mewed. "It really has helped me. You know, without you, I'd probably be in the conrner ofn the apprentices' den, sulking, and wondering why every cat avoided me. Thank you." There was deep warmth in his voice as he spoke, and he realized that whatever was going on with him and Quickpaw, they were more than friends.
