OOC: Yup! Gingy's so cute. -coos-
IC: Sunscreech quickly distanced himself from her. He once again schooled his emotions and expression. "It's all right, Gingerpaw." He took a hesitant step forward but stepped back just as slowly. "I know it was an accident. Just..." He sighed. "Just be careful, okay?" He didn't know what would happen if he lost control. He didn't want to hurt or scare Gingerpaw away when he'd just gotten her to open up. "I don't want to do anything I might regret." Being honest was always something he did best. Now was no different.

"I'm almost the age to be a warrior, it's not like we're that far apart in age..." She mewed, thinking of ways that it would be alright for them to have a real relationship. She then met his gaze, and her heart seemed to sink. He could never like me like that. I'm jsut his pestering little apprentice. she thought, discouraged.

Sunscreech considered this. It was true; other mentors had failed to teach her, so she was old for his first apprentice. "You have a point," sending her an intense stare. Shaking his head, he sighed. "Let's not focus on that right now. It's...distracting." The stupid cheeky smile showed up again before he could stop it. He sighed. "Very distratcting," he mumbled, hoping his pretty apprentice didn't hear.

Gingerpaw let out a very loud sigh. Of course. He doesn't want to hurt my feelings... The apprentice mewed. Yet again, a small tear formed, and fell, this time, clearly visible.

Sunscreech saw something fall from her face. She isn't crying, is she? He asked himself. He hurried over to his side before he could think. "Gingerpaw, what's wrong?" he asked. "Are you hurt?" He, like most males, was completely unintelligent when it came to emotions, feelings, and love.

Gingerpaw held back another tear, and turned away from her mentor. "N-No, I'm fine." She mewed, then turned back to him. "So, what should you teach me now?" She asked. Gingerpaw was very good at covering up her feelings.

Sunscreech frowned. She was doing what he did, pushing away her emotions. He growled lowly. "I don't like liars, Gingerpaw," he said. "I also don't like cats who do what I do... Hiding your feelings is not a good thing to do." He nudged her shoulder with his head. "Tell. Now." He nudged her again. "I won't stop bugging you if you don't." He suddne;y got an idea and grinned. He tilted his head cutely again. Leaning forward, he gave her ear a quick comforting lick.

Gigingerpaw backed away slightly at his touch, as if it were hot. She looked into his eyes, but then lowered her head. "It's just...nevermind. It doesn't matter. You don't feel the same way." She mewed, walking away and sitting down a bit aways from her mentor.

"Feel the same way?" He mewed in exasperation. "Gingerpaw, let me help! Help me to understand... Feel what?" He had an inkling as to what she meant, but there was no way he'd go off of something that might not be right. He'd hint at it, yes, but not come out directly and say it. "Feel any... attraction? Is that what you mean?" Ah, alas, he was wrong. He would be direct as he always was was and say it. Oh, what a pathetic cat he was, putting his heart in the paw of a cat who could squash it so easily.

"Just forget it." She mewed. That was as good as a yes, coming from Gingerpaw. The orange and white apprentice laid down, her tail curled around her, as more tears fell.

Sunscreech laid down next to her. "Gingerpaw, it's okay. I told you to be careful, didn't I?" He nosed her ear, tickling the sensitive hairs. "I don't want to lose control." He nosed her cheek gently. "I care for you, which is surprising since this is the first time we've actually talked. But if I already have feelings for you, then what does that tell you?" He smiled.

Gingerpaw just turned away. She did not want to have to look into the toms face. It was like looking into a bright light. Beautiful and bright. She murmered undistinctable words, something about love, then closed her eyes, wishing to be anywhere but there.

Sunscreech was persistant. "Gingerpaw, you are afraid to care, yes? You are afraid to love because you don't want to lose anyone. If you love someone, then there's always that small chance that they will leave, that they will hurt you." He knew how she felt. His parent's hadn't loved him, so he never loved either. Gingerpaw was different, though. "I swear that I won't leave, nor will I ever hurt you. I wouldn't dream of hurting you, Gingerpaw. You mean too much to me." He sighed. "I feel the same as you do, but I am taking the chance, I am taking the risk just so I can love you. I want to love you, Gingerpaw. I don't want to hold back, and I don't want you to bury your feelings. It gets you no where."

OOC: Just like out of a love movie. XD
BIC: Gingerpaw turned. "I love you...But everyone I have loved has gotten hurt..." She mewed, looking straight into his eyes.

OOC: I got skillz dat way.
IC: Sunscreech laughed bitterly. "I have never been loved, but that is not the point." He rubbed his head against her own. "I might get hurt, but it is the way of a warrior. I won't leave you though, Gingerpaw. I swear on my life that I won't leave you; you don't deserve that."

"I don't want you to love me out of pity!" Snapped the apprentice, her old attitude shining through. She wouldn't let Sunscreech get hurt. She loved him, and she would give her life for him.

Sunscreech narrowed his eyes. "Who said I loved you out of pity?" He bit her chin softly. "You're not listening to me, love," he said. "I love you. With my heart. I love you because of your attitude, your spunk, even that steak of cruelty." He smirked. "I love you for you."
OOC: Can I possibly say the word 'love' any more? xP

OOC: *laughs*
BIC: Gingerpaw leapt onto her mentor, pinning him down and laughing. "I love you for you too. Now, wanna try to put a little more weight down in the middle?" She joked, pushing herself onto him. She once again felt the wonderful sensation she had before, and she smiled at Sunscreech as she licked his mouth.

Sunscreech swallowed dryly. He sent a glare to her and desperately tried to pull the tiny threads of his self control back together. "Do you want kits now?" He asked hotly. "You give me too much credit, Gingerpaw. My self control does have a limit." He saw the happiness in her eyes and rolled his own. "You're pure trouble," he said, nodding his head. "But I like trouble," he added, wide grin plastered on his face. He took a few steps toward her, his grin turning to a smirk. "Let's see how fast you run," he spoke, voice eerily calm. "When I count to three, I will chase after you. You must evade me. And if I catch you?" He laughed evilly. "Well, let's not think about that right now." He looked into her yes. "One...two..." He took another step forward. "Three," he whispered.

Gingerpaw ran, but her short legs and long fur weighed her down. Eventually, she stopped, gasping for breath, and laughing. Sunscreech could easily catch up to her.
