((Hiya. Guess what, I didn't die! ;D Well, the plot for this is Shadowfang takes Quickpaw out for some battle training. Let's see how things go...)) Shadowfang flicked her tail from side to side, waiting. She had scheduled a training session with her apprentice, Quickpaw. She was hoping the she-cat wasn't going to be as much of a mousebrain as some of the cats. But she had no problem repremanding the apprentice should she missbehave. Shadowfang had no patience. It was either do as she said, or face her claws and tongue.

Quickpaw scuttled into the clearing, facing her mentor. She sunk low to the ground and bowed quickly. She was scared; she knew Shadowfang was definately not the friendliest of cats, and Quickpaw wasn't a popular apprentice in the clan, either. "What are we going to learn today?" She asked quietly.
OOC: I plan on having Quickpaw's obnoxious side show up later... Heh. Good to know you're alive! (: (:

"I thought we could do some battle training today," Shadowfang meowed in a mentor-like voice. She'd warm up to her aprentice eventually, it would just take time. "So, I want you to try attacking me so I can see what we need to work on." Shadowfang dropped into a crouch, watching her apprentice carefully.

Quickpaw grimaced before launching forward to try and bowl her mentor over. She forgot the fact that she, a young apprentice, was much smaller than Shadowfang, a full grown warrior.

Shadowfang swiftly moved to the side and tackled Quickpaw, trying to flip her. She couldn't help but mentally curse her apprentice. Only a mousebrain attacked a cat bigger than them head on! If you're smaller, a cat should use its speed to overpower the other warrior.

Quickpaw landed with an audible thud. "That was dumb," she groaned to herself. Shaking it off, she stood up again and looked at her mentor. She was a lot bigger than her, and Quickpaw wasn't sure if she was faster, either. Shrugging, Quickpaw raced around her mentor once, trying to find a good spot to attack her. She grimaced before she slid underneath her mentor's legs, pushing up with her back. She almost laughed when both she and her mentor toppled over. Quickpaw didn't have much strength; she had a wiry form, made for speed and stealth, not strength and power. If she could gather enough momentum to tackle her mentor, she might be able to overpower Shadowfang. Leaping away before Showdowfang could retaliate, Quickpaw backed up a few more tail-lengths, trying to gain enough distance before flying forward and using her small weight and fast speed to knock over the older she-cat.
